titaniaMirror notes
Titania is a small, manually maintained release mirror. It is not a package manager, a software publisher or a continuously synchronized copy of an upstream repository.
- Public directory
- /mirror/ — no account required for the included files.
- Current contents
- Archived source snapshots, complete Git bundles, Debian installation media, IANA time-zone data and accompanying verification metadata.
- File access
- Read-only. There is no public upload endpoint.
- Transfers
- Static files support byte-range requests. A client can resume a download when the file is unchanged and the connection supports it.
- Integrity
- The included manifest covers only the text files named in it. Software releases need their own matching verification information.
Using the mirror
Use the operator’s HTTPS address. Download only what you need and avoid aggressive parallel retries. A retained file is not a promise of ongoing maintenance or support.
A checksum on this server can reveal a mismatch. It cannot, on its own, prove who published a file.
